Gasparilla 2027 in Tampa: the pirate invasion, Bayshore parade and the children's parade
Tampa's Gasparilla Pirate Fest lands on Saturday, January 30, 2027, when Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla invades the city and parades down Bayshore Boulevard, a week after the Children's Gasparilla on January 23. It is the city's biggest day of the year, and downtown and Bayshore hotels sell out.

Choose your Gasparilla: the family version on January 23 or the full invasion and parade on January 30. Either way, base downtown or in Ybor City and walk or use the streetcar, because Bayshore Boulevard closes and the crowds run into the hundreds of thousands.

The event
Gasparilla is Tampa's mock pirate invasion: the krewe's ship sails up the bay, the pirates take the city, and the Parade of Pirates rolls down Bayshore Boulevard with floats, krewes and beads. The 2027 Pirate Fest is on Saturday, January 30, produced by EventFest with Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla.
The Children's Gasparilla on Saturday, January 23 is the family edition a week earlier, with its own parade on Bayshore and none of the main day's crowd.
Planning the day
Bayshore Boulevard closes for the parade and the neighborhoods behind it fill with parties; driving in on the day is slow and parking near the route is scarce. Downtown and Ybor City bases connect by the streetcar and on foot, which keeps the day simple.
The main day is loud and adult in places after dark; the children's parade is the calm version of the same spectacle.

- Downtown, Hyde Park and Bayshore-adjacent hotels sell out for the main Saturday; book as soon as the date is on the calendar.
